Freddy West Tjakamarra
Freddy was born in the early 1940s in the desert near where Kiwirrkura community now stands. He was still a young man when his family was bought into Papunya by Jeremy Long's Welfare Patrol in the 1960s.
He is an important painter from the early years of Papunya Tula Artists, and is in public and private collections worldwide. He died in 1994.
